Gentle Yoga is for Everyone
At NuPower, we believe that yoga is for everyone. We offer a Gentle Yoga class for those who are looking to ease their way into yoga and exercise.
It is specifically created to enhance balance and strength. This class is designed for those who have been sedentary, have lost strength and balance from aging or illness, or just want to try yoga for the first time. The class can be taken from a chair or standing depending on your current level of activity. Class is comfortably heated to fit the season and to provide the best stretching capacity.
We asked our Gentle Yoga teacher Brendie to share a little bit about herself and the class:
About Brendie…
I am a registered nurse managing nurses in 4 states. We serve adults that are developmentally delayed and who reside in our group homes. My work has always been one of my passions. I have two adult daughters who are amazing women that bring me great joy. Yoga has been a source of healing for me both physically and emotionally. I pursued my yoga certification about 20 years ago and recently did another 200 hour training at NuPower.
What is Gentle Yoga?
Gentle Yoga is a personalized group class based on the needs of the attendees for the day. This gentle class is customized to meet each individuals needs whether they are there to reduce fatigue/pain, desire a tailored movement for pregnancy/illness/aging concerns/beginning exercise, or just want a less intense yoga class.

Who is Gentle Yoga for?
Anyone who has been cleared to exercise by their doctor.
What are the benefits of Gentle Yoga?
This class is meant to engage those who might not be joining yoga due to perceived physical limitation but desire a guided movement class.

When is Gentle Yoga offered?
Sunday afternoons - 3:15pm

Private evaluations with teacher available before class. This class is an excellent place to start if you are new to yoga or recovering from an injury/illness.
